Well-known Toowoomba function centre site Regents on the Lake listed for sale

It’s the end of an era for a popular Toowoomba function centre that has just been launched to market by Ray White Commercial.

Regents on the Lake at 87-89 Perth Street has been offered for sale by its owners in an expressions-of-interest campaign.

The venue has hosted many events over the years, making memories for thousands of Toowoomba residents and visitors.

When the previous functions caterer, Me-N-U Catering, ceased operations in May, the future of the premises came up for negotiation

Agent Mark Wynhoven, of Ray White Commercial Toowoomba, says the potential for the site is wide open for prospective buyers.

“The site could continue as a function centre or it could be redeveloped into a bigger commercial venture – or even a residential project,” Mr Wynhoven says.

“There’s a picturesque view over Lake Annand with 2387sqm of land to work with.”

The existing building is about 530sqm and includes a kitchen, cold and freezer rooms, and a bar with undercover area.

There is also access and facilities for the disabled.
