Dynamic Brisbane duo launch RWC Gateway
After working together for almost a decade, commercial real estate team Jared Doyle and Jack Gwyn have taken their business to the next level, opening RWC Gateway.
In an era of rapidly changing technology, real estate agent Geoff Percy prefers a traditional approach to dealing with clients.
The newest member of the Ray White Commercial Toowoomba team, who has just joined the business as a sales and leasing consultant, admits he is not so much of a phone or emails person.
“I prefer face-to-face communication and I get out and speak to as many clients as possible,” Mr Percy says.
“People like to put a name to the face, shake your hand and look you in the eye. I like to have that good rapport.”
A real estate industry veteran of 32 years, Mr Percy studied at the University of Western Sydney and gained licences in real estate, stock and station, business agent and auctioneer.
He has worked in both NSW and Queensland and formerly operated his own real estate business for 22 years in Moree with his wife, Christine.
As well as selling numerous residential, commercial, industrial and rural properties, he has managed commercial property including NSW State Government office blocks and Macquarie Bank shopping centres.
After moving his family to Toowoomba for his daughters’ schooling, he worked in several agencies. As he got to know the local market, he also got to know other agents working in the area.
“I knew most of the guys before coming to Ray White,” he says. “So I walked in, sat down and I was part of the crew. They’re genuine, honest and nice guys, and I’m in my element.
“I’ve also been really impressed with Ray White Commercial’s excellent technology and systems, which have made it easy to settle in.”
In addition to bringing with him a big deal to manage 225 storage sheds, Mr Percy already has several listings and buyers on the go.
He looks forward to new opportunities emerging as the city of Toowoomba grows but also relishes the community aspects of regional life.
“Toowoomba is just a big country town and that suits my style,” he says. “What you see is what you get.”
