Dom O'Mara

A born and bred product of Toowoomba, Dom began his professional career working in the news media industry, initially for APN News and Media, which was later purchased under the News Corp banner.

Working in news media for 13 years enabled him work in various capacities, from reporter to sub-editor for a number of nationally recognised news publications from central Queensland to northern New South Wales.

After a News Corp downsizing triggered by COVID-19, Dom sought new mountains to conquer, and further enhanced his media, design and communications skills while aiming to change careers in the Garden City.

Currently, Dom works as Marketing Coordinator here at RWC Toowoomba, and leverages his skills in media, networking and content creation to help the company acquire new clients and grow the business.

In his free time, Dom enjoys cricket and pub trivia (he once appeared on Mastermind Australia), and he often moonlights as a radio show and podcast host.
