Business Description
Transport Field Service (TFS) has been trading in Warwick for 30 Years and has developed as a very successful outlet. TFS specialises in repair and maintenance of heavy vehicles and the sale of spare parts. Whilst initially developed to represent Volvo, both the Mack and Caterpillar brands were added to the product range recently. The full potential of these additional brands is yet to be realised.

As an indication of the success of the business, TFS was awarded the Volvo 2005 Dealership of the Year Award in their class; a great commendation of the exceptional service provided.

TFS currently employs ten people, with one full time administration manager and one part time administration assistant. The spare parts division employs two fulltime staff. The workshop is run by one manager who is also involved hands on with the actual repairs. He is assisted by three mechanics with one trade assistant. A full time boilermaker is also on staff and capable of truck repairs when required.

TFS has also developed a good reputation for supplying quality used vehicles built on-site or vehicles bought for re-sale.

TFS's workshop facilities have been extended recently to bring the total size of the workspace to 1428m2. Services offered include everything from engine and gearbox rebuilds to basic servicing and maintenance. In addition, TFS also carry out heavy vehicle wheel alignments. The workshop runs from 8.00 am - 5.00 pm Monday to Friday with Saturday work taken on appointment. Breakdown service is also available 24/7. Rates are: Workshop retail - $70 P/H plus GST and Breakdown - $100 P/H Plus GST.

Spare parts continue to sell well at TFS and are now increasing due to the availability of the Mack brand and the All Makes market. The addition of Caterpillar engines to a major fleet of Trucks in Warwick has resulted in increased sales of Cat spare parts by TFS.
